Clearly I have them all wrong, if everything is spent on the car. But it's my baby! Right....?
So, I kind of forgot about a few parts which I NEED to buy before getting coilovers on. So, here's a note to myself of what is left to buy so far.
1. Camber kits - KCA347/348
2. Castor kit - I don't think I need this actually, since I have adjustable castor rods...
3. Coilovers
4. Tyres
5. Stickers, valves, caps, etc.
6. REAR INNER TIE RODS!!! - High priority
OR should I just go for the camber arms!? They only cost $100-200 more in total but will give more camber adjustment than just bushes.
Also, note to self: Spark plugs changed with BKR6E-11 on 24 Feb, ~80000km (will check when home)

Eventful sunday
Car hasn't been starting properly for the past month. Originally thought it was the battery problem, which is why I went and bought a new battery a few weeks ago. That seemed to fix the problem but then it appeared again, so decided to change spark plugs as I deduced that it was possibly my rich fuel mix that fouled up my plugs.
Raining all saturday so couldn't do it. Went to CLNSKY's place yesterday to get some help (actually, credit to him because he did most of it) and changed the spark plugs. We had to let the engine cool down first after my drive there, but about 30mins of cooling, heard thunder. Went outside and saw storm clouds in the distance, but we decided to start anyway and get it done ASAP.
Who knew that the rain would come so fast? Luckily my bonnet was up in the right direction, basically giving us a shield against the wet and ALSO protecting the open engine from getting wet. Here's some pics.
Nice legs Mr. CLNSKY!
Then afterwards, the ever-amusing Moo arrived in his prelude. Didn't get a picture of his window but it gave us many lols. As soon as he turned off his car, he said he'd need a jump start, instant facepalming from me and CLNSKY.
First jump start successful.
Second one, not successful.
That was the weekend of work!
Have to report that after changing sparkies, car felt much smoother to drive/accelerate, and also started better. Now, fingers crossed that was the source of the starting problems. Now, to find out wtf is wrong with my brake booster...?

Getting things done
So I've been sick as a dog since sunday. Ended up staying home for the past 2 days, mostly in bed. But, surprise surprise I received a package from Japan on the Monday. So a few things could get further ticked off my list =) But here's some pictures from the weekend.
New head unit and DIN compartment. Courtesy of a JZX100 owner! Head unit looks the same as my old one except that it has about 10 different colours, so I can change it to match whatever interior theme I have. Currently red. And that woodgrain DIN tray just adds that little bit of class, I think. JDM AS!!!
After the install, washed the car. Went through my cleaning box and realised I had this "spray and gloss" from poorboys, decided to try it and was pretty impressed. it's the gloss of wax without the long(ish) term protection and also long and arduous procedure. Evidently don't expect it to last very long.
And here's my new set of wheels =)))))) freaking AWESOME. They look so good! This is the first clean one. They were super dirty and so they needed a real good clean before i put some tyres on.
Comparison: top is cleaned, bottom is soaked in water, ready to be washed. It's practically a whole shade darker.
Here's the inside of one rim. Most of them looked like this...
Two clean vs two dirty
Saturday night in Chatswood, looking for a space to park (there were lots of spaces, just wanted one which was convenient) saw this, and thought why not?
Monday's arrival!
Lunch. Good with my hands...for many things
Totally don't remember ordering this.
This, i did order. Been on my list for ages!
Pillowball castor rods! URAS made!
Tie rods (super hard) URAS made again.
Installed corner lamp. Looks slick!

Tick tick tick
Got most things on the list done this weekend. Started off with installing the head unit and DIN compartment, but then it started raining so I stopped and waited, nearly didn't get to do the rest. Sun came back out so went and washed the car and got the rest done. Clutch can wait. In fact, don't mind if it stays like this because I'm used to it already. Pics soon.
- Investigate how to lower engagement point on my clutch
- Vacuum interior
Wash carWash rimsInstall head unit (hopefully a simple swap over - but I honestly have no idea!)Drive the car and enjoy itNow I remember! Use the CERIGLASS to get the acid rain marks off my front windshield.

More upgrades
Today, some good news: RHD order sent out, minus the parts on back order. No dramas, those parts can wait. These parts, need now!!!
To do list for saturday morning to complete:

DELAYS
SO FRUSTRATING!
First, my order from nengun took like a month - however that was lucky because while one of the times I was chasing up the order, I realised that there was a mistake on my part with one of the items...so I got that corrected, and the items came not long after.
Secondly: bought some things from RHDJapan about...a week or two ago now, and some items are on back order - in fact, need to wait to be produced. So that's held up the rest of my order. Finally today I got in contact with them and told them to send the rest of my order and I'll wait for the other items. Thankfully, the back ordered items aren't urgent, and are a DIY. The rest is suspension related =) So hopefully they come soon. Or at least, by the time my coilovers come!
Which is actually at least a month away. And I still can't decide whether I want Japanese height adjustable coilovers or some Bilstein + Springs which are reportedly more comfortable...

More stuff!
Last week, post arrived from Japan =) My very own shift knob + lock nuts.
And this week: my very own Nismo LMGT4s. Rubbing my hands in glee!!! Will have to save a while more before I get some tyres to put them on. But I am currently selling my SSRs + Tyres, which will help me fund my tyres for these rims =)
Oh did I also mention that 2 weeks ago I also got TE37s? Hmmmmmm best rims acquired, all within the space of a few weeks. Lucky me.
Defibrillators, please
Last weekend my car began to turn over weakly on ignition. It sometimes got better after a period of driving, but after any extended period of non-use, it would turn over weakly again. This made me think it was electrical related, but some reading told me that it could possibly be spark plugs instead. It's actually kind of hard to get the right keywords in a search...
Anyway this morning went to Repco to buy some sparkies, came home, decided to put my battery from my civic into the 34 and try start it (an excellent idea from Mr.Moo) and lo and behold...it started perfectly. So I immediately ran out and bought a new battery, stuck it in, and started him up! Vroom vroom.
So. That's another new thing to add to the list!

The waiting game
We all know this part. The waiting game. No, I haven't forgotten about this place. But it's a given there will be silent periods. Having said that, it's only quiet because of two reasons:
1. Saving up money to buy next things on list
2. Have bought next things on list and waiting for them to arrive.
That's mainly talking about suspension parts.
But my stock BOV did arrive end of last week, so might get around to try fitting that on this weekend. Mr. GV1 hasn't been farting as much recently, and in fact I might try an ECU reset this weekend and then drive around for the weekend and see how much farting he does. If less then I'll leave it, if not, I'll put on the stock BOV.
Exciting news: will be getting my bonnet wrapped! As part of the SAU events night on Feb 21, I have volunteered to have my bonnet wrapped. Most likely black carbon!
